KRIGYAN is a learning app for children, so we collect as little as we can, keep it safe, and never sell it. This page explains exactly what we hold and why.
KRIGYAN ("we") runs this website and app. It is run by the KRIGYAN founders (a registered company name will be shown here once it exists). For anything about your data, write to krigyan.edu@gmail.com or use the contact page.
About you, the parent or guardian:
About your child:
Technical information: a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in, counters that slow down repeated failed sign-ins, a one-way scrambled version of your network address used to block automated abuse, and simple usage events (for example, that someone signed up or finished a quiz) to understand what works. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Our team uses AI tools to help write draft questions and games. A person reads and approves every item before a child can see it. We do not send children's personal data to AI services, and there is no chat with an AI in the app.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not show advertising. A teacher who adds a child to a class is responsible for having the parent's permission to do so; if you did not agree, tell us and we will remove your child from the class.
Data is stored with our hosting provider in Singapore. Passwords are scrambled, connections are encrypted, access is limited by role, and access to children's records is logged. No system is perfectly secure. If a security incident affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires, and explain what happened and what to do.
We keep your data while your account is active. When you ask us to delete it, we remove your account and your children's records within 30 days. If an account has had no activity for 24 months, we email the parent, and delete the account and the children's records if we do not hear back within 30 days. Short-lived backups and security logs (which hold ids, not names) roll off after that.
Email krigyan.edu@gmail.com and we will reply within 2 working days.
Children use KRIGYAN through an account that a parent or guardian creates, or that a teacher creates for a class with the parent's permission. Parents agree to this policy for their child. We do not show children advertising, track them for marketing, or use their activity for anything other than their learning in the app and the progress reports described above. If you think a child has an account without a parent's permission, tell us and we will remove it.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell parents by email or in the app before it takes effect. The date and version are at the top of this page.
